32 Weeks

Not sure why, but I feel like hitting 32 weeks is a pretty big milestone...so validate me :)
Anywhoooo, in celebration of this event J & I decided to go out and frolick with the camera, and I'm so happy that we did! I love that we finally have some pictures together! Pregnancy isn't just about me (although I get most of  the glory and the pain) - it's about us. This is something WE are doing TOGETHER. I couldn't do this alone - everyday J helps me with something (actually, multiple things) - whether it's picking up the car keys I dropped, helping me get dressed in the morning (don't judge, putting on pants is a workout!), deciding on decor for the future nursery, or finishing cooking dinner because the stove top is making me overheat and feel dizzzzzzzyyy. He is always there for me. Oh, and we can't forget about our birthing class! Not many guys are supportive and/or willing to attend birthing classes, but J has gone above and beyond! He keeps up with the reading, reminds me to listen to my tracks, and even decked out our house with post-it notes of all my birthing affirmations... {sigh} {swoon} {insert gushy love comment here}

And now on to the photo roll - #sorrynotsorry for the picture overkill - you know the drill:

I know, I'm so vain

Only eight more weeks, people!

Temple Run

When J & I were dating, we made a goal to visit every single temple in Utah together.
I'm not quite sure what spurred this amazing thought, but we were both pretty jazzed about it -
So we crafted up this beautiful map to help us keep track of everything, and one by one started attending the beautiful Utah temples.
*Map is definitely not to scale :)
Almost 2 years and exactly 13 temples later, we are finally done! Yesterday we finished our quest with a 'Temple Marathon' - We had Logan, Brigham City and Bountiful left, and decided to crank out all 3 in one day. I knew that it would be enjoyable, but I thought that by the end of the day I would be sick of the car, putting up with lots of back pain, and just ready to go home. Not so! It was actually a ton of fun! I even think we each had a few more temples in us, but we'll save that for another day :)

Here are the beautiful selfies we have taken at each of the temples we've gone to together. The bottom left pic is at Bountiful yesterday, the very last temple on our list.

Visiting these temples was so much fun, and we created lots of great memories road trippin' to far away lands, meeting wonderful people, and spending time with each other in these beautiful houses of the Lord. I'm so happy that J & I regularly attend the temple - I know it brings strength to our marriage & to our relationship, and of course it helps us each personally as we get to sit and reflect and feel of the spirit. The blessings of the temple are real.

Now we just can't wait for Ogden to open up again, Payson's construction to finish, and Provo City Center to be completed! 13 going on 16 - definitely one of the perks of living in Utah is having SO many temples so close!

Bumpdate: 31 Weeks

How Far Along? 31 weeks, 4 days
Weight Gain? 25 whoppers
Food Cravings: Nope. But I sure like to eat!
Symptoms: Heartburn = Death. And, cramps...like I'm on my period - but I'm definitely not!
Maternity Clothes? I'm never going back to regular pants.
Stretch Marks? Still the same spiderwebs on the boobs...
Sleep? Better! Just waking up to use the potty at 3 am - almost didn't make it last night!
Movement? Seriously, it's like there's an earthquake in my tummy! SO much movement -and it's not just kicks, it's never just been kicks. I can literally feel every. single. thing. It's quite hilarious.
Best moment? We started making some crafts for the nursery! And, I got some sweet presents at work which were delivered in a GIANT navy blue Santa bag, so that was fun. Also, hypnobirthing.
Weird pregnancy moment? My arms and legs go numb sometimes... And I get really short of breath after walking 2 feet. Baby steps to the elevator...
Belly Button: Sticking out like a .5 in!
Gender? J is pretty set on a boy... I still have no inkling! Can't wait to find out!!!
Looking forward to: Moving into our new apartment so we can set up the nursery (along with the rest of the house!)... But that's not happening til August.

I'm seriously loving pregnancy and feel like it's flying by. I'm cruising! And, I'm seriously gonna miss my belly button.

PS - I had a dr. appointment this morning and only measured 30 weeks, so I'm a little behind. It's okay - they said not to worry - but send good vibes my way that this baby will come on time!

Father's Day

I don't have a lot of sappy words to spill... But my heart is full and ever so happy.

Ok, maybe I lied about the sappiness.

I have always known that J will be a fantastic father - he just has a way with kids, and I have yet to meet a child who doesn't instantly LOVE him.

Throughout this pregnancy, J has proven to me over and over again what a remarkable man he is - through his midnight grocery store runs to satisfy my cravings, evening walks to talk about our future (and help me get some exercise in), snapping my picture every week, making crafts for the nursery, staying up with me when I just can't fall asleep, bringing me breakfast in bed almost every morning, rubbing my back to ease my pain, reminding me to take those darn prenatal vitamins (seriously, why do I always forget?!), and even being a good sport about our HypnoBirthing class - he really has done it all. Not only that - but he's done it with a smile on his face and a skip in his step.

J really is my better half. He absolutely spoils me, every minute of every day. He makes me giddy. And, even though we spend all our time together, I always find myself just wanting to be closer to him - to be held in his arms and nuzzled in as close as possible.

Plus, he's smokin'
Plus, he makes me laugh like no one else
Plus, this
My apologies if this picture offends you, but it's just too darn funny.
Hahaha, in the first photo J said "Me and my baby" ... which quickly turned into him switching positions and saying "Me and my babies", as seen in the second photo.
I can't wait for the day when J holds our babe in his arms for the first time, and for all the days after as we learn how to be parents together. I couldn't ask for a better person to share my life with - thanks for being my better half!
