Some people think J and I are crazy for not finding out the gender. Um, try crazy awesome - I love that we are keeping it a surprise! I've wanted to do this my whole life.
Some say that it's a surprise whether you find out now or in the delivery room... I'm sorry, but it's not the same people. Not even a little bit. Ok, maybe a little :)
Some try to convince us to find out. To that I say, nice try! But it's fun to banter
Some say that we should wait to do a surprise baby until we have a boy and a girl, because then we can be prepared either way. Well, that's just cheating! (okay, cheating may be harsh...but again, it's just not the same)
Some tell us that they can't get us presents if they don't know the gender. Good thing we will still be friends after the baby is born! And really, the only thing that color matters for is clothes (and even the neutral ones are AH-DORABLE!), everything else I'd rather have in neutral colors, anyway.
Some people think we are brave and awesome, and I thank those people and give them a high-five, or maybe even a hug
Some mom's-to-be have awesome intuition and just know the gender of their baby. That hasn't happened to me - Which is weird because I'm actually a very intuitive person. But, I'm glad that I don't internally 'know', because it actually will be a surprise!
Whether or not you want to find out the gender is totally between you + your spouse. I definitely don't judge couples that find out, I think that's great! I just have always wanted this to be a surprise, and I am so glad I have a husband who agrees, and thinks it is as much as fun as I do.
PS: Big thanks to my wonderful Mama, Madison, and Megan for the adorable outfits!
