graduates

you could say that we just hit a pretty big milestone in our lives: graduating college!
it was such a special event, especially because 3 of us graduated at the same time -  J, my big sis Meggi, and I all got to celebrate together - I guess we timed that right!
both mine and J's parents were able to make the trip to Utah to be there for our graduation, and it was so much fun to see & spend time with them
college was pretty good to us - I'll have to do an 'ode to byu' post, because there is so so much that I learned, gained, and discovered during my college experience. I couldn't be happier with the time I spent at BYU and the memories I created. It's bittersweet to be done and move on with life, but I'm excited for what's to come!

Bumpdate: 23 weeks

this little babe is still cooking! here's the latest update on my ever growing belly:

these pictures make me look HUGE (which I'm okay with!) but, i really don't look this big. it must be because we took the pics after dinner :)  rookie mistake. or i'm arching my back? whatev's. optical illusion

How Far Along? 23 weeks
Weight Gain? 14 whole pounds! What?!
Food Cravings: Fruit fruit fruit fruit
Symptoms: back pain :( also, I've been getting weird burning feelings in my throat/tonsil area?
Maternity Clothes? Just got some cute shirts, and now people can actually tell I'm pregnant! And I reallllyyyy need some new pants. For now mr. rubberband is my best friend, and my brothers old jeans suit me just fine :)
Stretch Marks? None so far -  thanks to all that lotioning and oiling
Sleep? Sucks. I wake up so many times to use the potty, and then the baby wakes up and has a dance party in my tummy and I can't fall back asleep for hours. 5 o'clock and all's not well, I should still be sleeping at that hour! And, did I mention back pain? It has gotten so much worse over these past few weeks - ouchie!
Movement? YES! Oh my goodness we felt the first kick at 21 weeks and ever since then my belly has been shaking nonstop! It is such a crazy feeling. We've even felt the heartbeat through my tummy!
Best moment? See above. Feeling the little babe move is surreal. Plus I had a super fun baby shower last week! Plus, I found some sweet deals on KSL/Facebook yardsale groups and bought a glider, crib, and changing table!
Belly Button: Hahaha it depends on the hour - after I eat it pops out! But for the most part it's still in
Gender? Still a surprise, and absolutely loving it!
Looking forward to: Graduation --> BABY MOON!

Pink or Blue?

Some people think J and I are crazy for not finding out the gender. Um, try crazy awesome - I love that we are keeping it a surprise! I've wanted to do this my whole life.
Some say that it's a surprise whether you find out now or in the delivery room... I'm sorry, but it's not the same people. Not even a little bit. Ok, maybe a little :)
Some try to convince us to find out. To that I say, nice try! But it's fun to banter
Some say that we should wait to do a surprise baby until we have a boy and a girl, because then we can be prepared either way. Well, that's just cheating! (okay, cheating may be harsh...but again, it's just not the same)
Some tell us that they can't get us presents if they don't know the gender. Good thing we will still be friends after the baby is born! And really, the only thing that color matters for is clothes (and even the neutral ones are AH-DORABLE!), everything else I'd rather have in neutral colors, anyway.
Some people think we are brave and awesome, and I thank those people and give them a high-five, or maybe even a hug

Some mom's-to-be have awesome intuition and just know the gender of their baby. That hasn't happened to me - Which is weird because I'm actually a very intuitive person. But, I'm glad that I don't internally 'know', because it actually will be a surprise!
Whether or not you want to find out the gender is totally between you + your spouse. I definitely don't judge couples that find out, I think that's great! I just have always wanted this to be a surprise, and I am so glad I have a husband who agrees, and thinks it is as much as fun as I do.

PS: Big thanks to my wonderful Mama, Madison, and Megan for the adorable outfits!

Blog Design

Well well well - it's time for another blog design update! Here are some of the beautiful designs I was able to work on during March - as well as a sneak peak to something that will be coming very soon!
First off, I have been working on rebranding my design site...it's not 'final' yet, but I'm definitely getting closer! If you have any feedback I would love to hear it!
I had the pleasure of working with Melanie, the face behind Always Gold - and we had such a wonderful time! I absolutely love how her blog turned out, and more importantly Melanie could not be happier with the design either. Obviously, we went for a gold theme and added some jewel tones in the mix as well - this is definitely one of my favorite designs to date!

My cousin, Monica, is the talented human behind Sook Ee Designs. Guys, she is seriously so so very talented. She can sew absolutely anything, is a craft queen, and a master chef. She also coordinates with some pretty sweet vendors to throw the cutest parties in all the land - definitely check her out! She asked me to help simplify the design of her blog, but also bring in a more professional feel, with a fun twist. We kept her old logo and used the colors as the base of the design, and it turned out perfectly!
Coming Soon!
Another big project I've been working on this month has been creating premade blogger templates! These will be offered at a discounted price, and will also have the option to customize colors and fonts. I am beyond excited to be adding these designs to my site soon - so stay tuned if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to getting a good design for your blog :)

As always, if you are interested in having your blog designed or know of anyone in need of a site revamp, contact me via Site B and we can discuss your project. This month I also designed a few logo's and helped a few clients rebrand their business, so if you are in need to graphic design work along those lines, let me know! I'd love to work with you!
