Utah State Fair
JD is wayyy into animal noises, so I knew we couldn’t pass up a trip to the Utah State Fair. We saw goats, sheep, cows, pigs, etc. Unfortunately the horses were already gone... Which was a bummer because 'neigh' is one of JD's favorite outbursts. But we got to see a pretty sweet Circus act that was unbelievable! Trained camels, Trapeze Artists, the works!
It was especially fun for me to show Justin the fairgrounds and pig barn, since 4-H was a big part of my childhood and I've shown a pig or two in my day :)
Brighton Lakes
Since we spent basically every weekend over the summer doing some extravagant activity, I wanted to keep that mindset when we moved back to Utah. Utah is such a beautiful state, and I couldn’t help but think that this could be our last year to enjoy all it has to offer! In early September we went on a beautiful hike up to Brighton Lakes. I loved being back up in the mountains and enjoying the cool air and green trees – definitely something I missed in California! This hike had viewpoints of 3 different lakes. We had a picturesque lunch at the first stop and the entire loop was to die for.
