our first apartment

we moved about 2 weeks before jd graced us with his presence. I was super preggo and probably hefted one too many boxes, but you gotta do what you gotta do

even though our first apartment was a *piece-oh-crap*, i miss it! I miss it's beautiful built-in bookshelf. I miss having an all-in-one living room/dining room/kitchen. I miss the simplicity and cozy feeling of it all. I mean, I love our new place - but sometimes I can't find Justin because it's so much bigger than what we are used to haha! not even kidding.

so, here are some iPhone pics to keep the memories alive :)

it wasn't much, and we pretty much used leftover wedding decorations to spice up the place - but man oh man did I love this apartment! It was SO small, but we loved it SO much. The countertops were so low that J literally would get on his KNEES to do the dishes (chuckle chuckle). The stove was practically an easybake oven. You couldn't fit a cookie sheet in that thing without propping something against the door to make sure it stayed shut. Our shower was an awkward triangle shape, but we didn't mind the coziness one bit:) Oh! And there was that one time a bird came through our heating pipe!  I seriously wish I knew how many square feet this place was haha... And, I wish I had a picture of the place BEFORE we moved in - we got it from a crazy drug-doing, cat-owning, video-gaming, dirty dirty man. But, we made it ours. We cleaned it up real nice, painted the kitchen, got new carpet, planted a garden - and were the coziest newlyweds in all the land

just the two of us

this is something that has been on my mind a lot lately...
but I can't quite put my thoughts into words.

i think these photos capture {some of} my feelings -
J & I have always been head over heels for each other
and I never knew so much happiness was possible.

pregnancy has brought a special intimacy + growth to our relationship, and
I can't wait to continue to learn and grow as parents -
but I sure am going to miss these special times with just us

Bumpdate: 35 weeks

Brag Moment: I wear the exact same shirt + pants in all of these bumpdate photos, and I didn't start busting the seems until week 33
How Far Along? 35 weeks, 3 days
Weight Gain? 33 pounds say whaaaaa?
Food Cravings: I haven't had many cravings - but I'll eat Guru's macaroons all day everyday
Symptoms: Just the same old heartburn and back pain. Also, this summer heat is reallllyyyyy starting to get to me - I'm burning, ooooh I'm burning!
Maternity Clothes? I stick to the same 5 shirts from Target because I'm too lazy/cheap to go buy more. Don't judge me. Or feel free to buy me some others, if you do judge me :)
Stretch Marks? Still cha-cha-ing on my ta ta's. They just keep popping up, like daisies! Plus some small ones creeped up on my left hip this week... So, apparently I'm lopsided
Sleep? My bathroom breaks are like clockwork. This week I also started having some hip pains from sleeping on my side. And, rolling over isn't as easy as it once was
Movement? This babe likes loves to move it move it!
Best moment? We went bowling and it rocked. Also Target's baby sale stole all my money. Also, Justin started freaking out one night because my tummy was doing all sorts of crazy contortions. I thought he had seen the baby's dance routine before, but apparently not in full swing. I guess by the time I usually get J's attention the babe's already performed the finale. Anyways, it was cute to see J's face light up
Weird pregnancy moment? Two things. First: I tooted mid-stride the other day! So darn funny... I didn't even feel it coming, and there was nothing I could have done to stop it. Good thing I was only with Justin and not at work or church or in some other embarrassing environment :)
Second: So, everyday when I come home from work the first thing I do is run to the bathroom to pee.  And I barely make it. The second thing I do is remove any and all clothing. I think I'm getting too comfortable in minimal-clothing because we walked to the Farmer's Market on Saturday and on the way back I just lifted my shirt up over my belly because it was soooo dang hot and the breeze was miraculous. I didn't even realize I had done it until about 10 steps later...oops
Belly Button: It's my favorite part of this entire pregnancy - I'm gonna miss my outie!
Gender? We will find out ohhhh so soon! I can't wait!
Looking forward to: Moving into our new apartment so we can set up the nursery! T minus two weeks!

Lake Powell

We spent our 4th of July on a boat in the middle of the beautiful Grand Canyon.
Every year the Stewart's head to LP for a week on the water. I hadn't been planning on going this year (since I am super pregnant and wanted to save my vacation days for after Stewart Little arrives) but I just couldn't resist when the opportunity arose! J left for the lake on Saturday, and then I came down with Tami + Trav on Wednesday. I'm oh so so happy that I was able to go! I love being at the lake with J - it's hands down his favorite place in the entire world and it's so fun for me to see him completely in his element. Plus, I got to surf. Plus, I played with cute lil Nora all week long and it was heaven.
Until next year!

Blog Design

An update on my blog designing is quite overdue! I blame the crazy hectic awesome-ness of summer  for making me so behind :)

Mindy Sue is the cute girl behind Style by Suzy - I absolutely loved working with her! She had such and fun vision, and it totally represents her. That's what I love most about this blog - you can just see Mindy's personality shining through the design!
Carissa came to me about a month prior to her leaving on a LDS mission to Los Angeles, California. Carissa wanted some help creating a blog to keep friends + family updated on her life as a sister missionary, and she new exactly how she wanted her blog to look. She designed all of the graphics and hand drew the designs, and only needed my help implementing them into her blog layout. It was really fun collaborating with her!

Bailey was SUCH a fun client. She is new to the blogging world, and wanted to create a blog that could also serve as her website for Leadership Coaching. She wanted something professional, but definitely wanted it to have a personal vibe to give viewers a taste of her personality and what the could expect in working with her. It was a fun experience to create this blog and mesh the worlds of blogging + business.

Coming Soon!
I'm still working on making premade blogger templates! These will be offered at a discounted price, and will have options to customize colors and fonts. I am beyond excited to be adding these designs to my site soon - so stay tuned if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to getting a good design for your blog :)

As always, if you are interested in having your blog designed or know of anyone in need of a site revamp, contact me via Site B and we can discuss your project. I'd love to work with you!
