Sooo I kept trying and trying to get a perfect picture of JD for his 'one month' post... And, that didn't happen. I got plenty of pictures, but they were all of him bawling his eyes out because he hates being on his back or not being held.
But! I've realized (now that I'm writing up his 'two month' post and had no problems getting a picture) that was no reason to postpone the post, because all those things were part of his personality during his first month.
Behold, I give you JD:
And now on to everything I wrote about him during his first month:
JD absolutely hates having his diaper changed, laying on his back, being put down...oh and he can't stand the bath tub. Or his carseat half of the time
Other than that, he is our perfect little angel!
He is still wearing premie everything, but is starting to fill out Gerber newborn onesies
He is very alert, and doesn't nap much during the day
People comment on how masculine he looks - there's been no confusing this little guy for a girl!
He loves arching his neck backwards and looking up at the ceiling lights
Going outside is the best medicine
We put him to bed sleeping on his tummy - no judgment, please! JD has had amazing head control since he was born, and he sleeps SO much better on his tummy
He loves/has to be held at all times, which we don't mind one bit
He rocked sleeping at night during the first two weeks... He would go for 4-5 hour stretches if we let him! But he grew out of that...Now it's more like 2.5-3hrs
Occasionally he gets really bad tummy aches in the evening. You can tell he is in so much pain either trying to poo or just pass gas. It breaks my heart.
He is so cute and always has his hands up by his face
JD loves snuggling with daddy and can sleep for hours on J's chest
Our favorite compliment (especially from cute old couples) is "Wow! You do good work!"
