Bumpdate: 13 Weeks

When life hands you lemons, you've officially conquered the first trimester!
This week Baby Stewart measures in at 3 inches long, 1.5 oz (approximately the size of a lemon)

How Far Along? 13.5 weeks
Weight Gain? Almost 5 lbs, lookout!
Food Cravings: Watermelon sour-belts, Vanilla Bean Frappucinos, and fruit
Morning Sickness? Not really…I have had a few bad days, and I really wish that I could sleep all the live long day…but I've only thrown-up thrice. So for the most part, I've felt really blessed with this pregnancy - I've hardly been sick!
Maternity Clothes? Not yet! Although, my pants are feeling quite snug
Sleep? Ohhh how i love it! I just wish I could sleep more. I have been waking up around 3 or 4am to use the loo, and then it's always really hard for me to fall back asleep :(
Movement? Not yet! But it's funny - if I lay on my side for a bit and then stand up, I totally have a lopsided belly
Best moment? Getting our first ultra sound and hearing the heartbeat - ohh my goodness it was such a special, happy moment! I wish we could get one every day!
Gender? It's going to be a surprise!
Looking forward to: Getting our second ultrasound soon! And hopefully having this weird 'i look bloated all the time' belly turn into a cute pregnant belly someday soon

Blog Design

last month I had a lot of fun finishing up some more web designs!
I gotta say, I am so grateful for my clients - I have so much fun working with them and feel absolutely blessed to be this busy!

the first design was for my dear friend Riley. We had a lot of fun making her vision come to life, and I just love how the design turned out. It's simple, but the yellow pops of color and fun fonts really bring it to life. I love it!

Riley's blog is the only design I completed during January that I would considered a typical 'blog'

For my next project, a client came to me asking if it would be possible to use Blogspot to host a website for his startup business. Of course, this is possible - you are just limited on the sites functionality. That was fine by him, and he was happy not to pay an arm and a leg for external hosting. Win win!

The last design I completed was an adventure - this site is hosted on SquareSpace, something I had never worked with before. I had a lot of fun learning to develop on a new platform and finding my way around :) I love how this design turned out - Victoria is an amazing illustrator and I love how her style really shines through the design. We used her actual handwriting for the logo and sidebar titles - didn't it turn out beautifully?!

I had a lot of fun designing in January - and things are only gonna get better in this month! I have a lot of fun blogger templates lined up, and I'm also jumping back into designing in Wordpress! Woot woot!

Things are looking up for Site B. Check out my site to stay updated on my portfolio - and please refer any friends you have that are looking for a blog design!

Expecting

{ just catching up - this post never made it to the blog, so I wanted to include it }

We announced that we were expecting Baby Stewart on Feb. 1, the Saturday before the Super Bowl Sunday.

Here's what our announcement looked like:
"J and I are SO excited to announce our little ball of joy due in August! Happy Super Bowl!"
Click here for full post and to see all the love and support we received from our family and friends.

We were thinking about announcing with a picture of a Denver Broncos onesie, but I didn't want the post to turn into a fight over who was going to win the Super Bowl, so I'm glad we just went with the football. Looking back, that was a very smart decision, considering how the game went :)
Granted, we are still a Broncos family
