Bye Bye Havasupai - the last frolic

Our third day in Havasupai, we decided to pack up camp and take our time hiking back to the village

The plan was to hike as far out as we could, make dinner on the trail, and try to find a place to camp/sleep for a few hours

we wanted to hike as far out as we could since I had a bad injury, along with sissy's bad blisters and my mom's hurting hip (she did this WHOLE thing with hip arthritis)

so, we had a relaxing morning, making delicious oatmeal, brushing our teeth, and packing up camp before hitting the trail

On our way out we stopped once more at Hava Su - we had a frolic session w/o the cameras, and then said goodbye to the beautiful falls

 the weather on this day was PERFECT - it was slightly overcast, which oh so lovingly protected us from the sun

 we stopped at Navajo Falls to make some lunch and of course, frolic!

There are upper and lower falls at this point, and beautiful pools in between which we had too much fun galavanting through

 when we had our fill of frolicking, we dawned our packs and - roll tide!

ok maybe not 'roll tide' quite yet

 we stopped in the village to get some ice cream, a few chimichunga's, coke, oj

and socialize with some of the villagers

THEN - with happy tummies and happier hearts, we blazed the trail!

after hours of hiking, we parked it on this here rock to bust out some pineapple for a midnight snack

we talked about making dinner or setting up camp, but decided to just keep hiking through the night

we hiked by the light of the moon(s), and made it back to our cars around 2? 3? 4? I really don't remember...I was too sad that our journey was over :(
